Only seen the original. Michael Caine is tremendous in it. Don't see the point in remakes, myself.

Yes, it is. Milos Foreman has done some awesome movies. Per my list: "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is another of his. Then there's "Amadeus", which is mindblowing, too.
