Gang rape and suicide among the youth

I posted this as a Facebook status today:

"I've seen two stories in the last week of young women (one in Canada, one in SoCal) getting drunk at parties, passing out, being raped and then committing suicide. This is a more important topic in my opinion than gun control. Not sure how to get control of it or stop it, but the rape of women when passed out needs to stop.

Other young women need to look out for their peers and see this doesn't happen, and these young boys (they haven't earned the title Man yet for obvious reasons) need to get a grip and respect the boundaries. There are boundaries, and you don't cross them without permission at any time. May these young girls rest in peace, and I hope their parents find happiness again at some point."

It's sad this has happened. Respect the boundaries. No means no.

The finality of suicide is too much. Seek someone out to help. There are folks who truly care and love you.
