As a long time visitor to Pattaya, the best way to go for anything beyond one month is a condo rental. If you have not been to Pattaya before, your best bet is somewhere close to the action and baht buses. On Soi 13 near second road is the Dynasty Inn. It is clean and relatively inexpensive. For further trips, visit real estate companies to see what is up for rent. Best to visit.
