Want to start my transition

Hi my name is birth name is Dan, but i wanna be Elizabeth.Recently i have seriously begun considering become mtf. I am 24 and dont want to become to old and too male before the hormones have a chance to help me.I have always wanted to be a girl since about 10, my mind jus always thinks from a female perspective. I never cd'd b/c i have a large family and didnt want to get caught. but i finally scheduled a appt with a gender therapist next week and would like to start hormones maybe. problem is i work construction and would certainly lose my job and still live with my parents. i have about 30,000 saved up but the transition would consume everything and leave me broke. Also i have five brothers and sisters and would feel bad/embarrassed to tell the i am tg. Anyone have any similar experience/advice? i've also never been with a guy but really want to and wont do it till i start to transition. so confused !?!
