Based on my own purely non-scientific observations. I believe 29 or 30 is still considered “young” in our society. The reasons for this are many. We are living longer, the economy, extended “education” for many along with student debt, couples waiting until they’re in their 20’s or 30’s to get married, etc. People living at home longer. The list grows…

Marketing plays a role in this as well. Recently I’ve noticed the current heavy emphasis on “retro” culture. The “Turtles” come to mind (yes those turtles that people my age remember watching as kids are still being marketed to children), “Star Wars” (40(!) this year—I can’t count how many tiny “Stormtroopers” I saw this Halloween). Mom’s and Dad’s too. Throw in Grandpa as “Darth Vader” and you’ve got three generations…

And my favorite… Tommy Hilfiger. I wore Tommy stuff all through High School. I remember getting my girlfriend “Tommy Girl” cologne for Christmas. Now they’ve teamed up with The Chainsmokers to sell it all to a new generation.

The latest I’ve heard is that they’re bringing “Doom” back. I still have a shrink-wrapped copy of “Doom II” from 1994 sitting on a shelf in my office. My nieces play Minecraft all the time. Why does everything still look the same 20+ years later?

So to answer your question, no I don’t think 29 or 30 is “old.” I also sent you a PM some time ago saying that Hentai and Gaming are great ways to “break the ice.” I guarantee there are many women who would love to do something like this on a date. From there, who knows where things might lead?

There are also “conventions” devoted to Gaming, Hentai, and Cosplay where you might meet somebody. And I hope you will seriously consider getting involved in LGBT events. If you want to meet somebody for a true long term relationship I feel it’s better to meet “face to face,” people who share your interests. If you just want to get laid there are “escorts” as many on here will tell you. I have been married twice and all of my relationships have been with people I have met through activities I’ve been involved in or through mutual friends. If I was still single, who knows?
