I don't currently have a significant other, but when I did I found that a little "strange" on the side actually made me feel closer to my partner. I know it sounds bizarre, but there's something about scratching the itch that made me feel more at ease and domesticated once I'd gotten it out of my system.

It goes against all of the Puritanical dogma we're force fed in the West, but I truly believe a little side action from time to time will actually prolong a relationship. Or at least make it more bearable. Hard to break free from our Guilt-Based society mindset though. As far as I know, a rub-n-tug has never hurt anyone.
