How to get the pictures from sites which disable Right clicking.

Some sites wont allow saving pictures with a Right-click and "save picture as" method. Usually they temporarily disable your right-clicking by some naughty script.

A simple but poor way is to use Print-screen and pasteing to Paint or Photoshop. Note that Copy pasteing to the clipboard will convert the finer quality pictures to pixelated bitmap images. That will ruin their resolutions. But dont fret. There is a better way to retrieve the pictures.

Every image (or flash movie from the video tube sites), that you see on your screen, first gets stored in your hard drive. So you just need to know the store room of WINDOWS and find them, thats all.

Its usually:
C:\Documents and Settings\your windows username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\

When you get there, you will find all kinds of files from the net stored in alpha-numeric folders. Go through the images and get the ones you want. The sites can stop you no more. Enjoy.

Hi there.

These scripst are just a ninor nuisance, you can get the pics in the temporary internet cache like you said but, under some internet settings you can make it so that when you hover over a pic a small pop-up appears so you can save the pic without right clicking, unfortunately i don't know which it is, it could be "automatic picture resizing", also if the pic is on a secure (shtml) it is automatically deleted from the temporary internet file cache, another way is to save the whole web page and then goto where you saved it and get your pic and delete everything you don't want, but sometimes it starts saving the page and then it sais can't save page, couldn't find out why, probably some scripts or plug in, another way is to select the pic you want with your mouse press CTRL and C (Copy) then open wordpad or Word, but not notepad (it is too rudimentary), and paste it in there.

You can drag-select > copy paste > image and text from a webpage using windows Onenote. It takes a little time though.

You could also use the firefox addon thingy "Download Helper", it's a real time-saver.

I have a photo program called Irfan View where screen capture is an option.

You just turn on the option and then all you have to do when the desired pic is on the screen, is push your hot keys, (which you can select). The program then pops up and you can than crop the pic and save it. Or you can have it save the pic to a folder and crop it later at your leisure.

If screen capture is your choice, then why not just use your Print-Screen button? And then paste and crop in Paint! But make a note here, that hampers the image resolution!

also turning javascript off sometimes helps when right-clicking is not available. there is addon for that also.

I use firefox and it doesn´t seem to support the IE disable functions If for some reason it still isn´t possible for me I select the image and ask for the source of the selection

I use Firefox, and don't see that on the add ons. I do see "FireShot", would that be the one and the same?

I have a web browser called Opera...sometimes I can download pics that IE won't. I use IE more but will Copy/Paste the site url to Opera.
