Homo Sapiens in ' The New World '

Recently I read an article suggesting that Homo Sapiens was already in the New World before the Ice Age that formed the frozen bridge between Eastern Siberia and Alaska allowed migrants from the Old World into the New.

The indicators exist apparently in fossil evidence on what became associations between man and other now-extinct species of early mammals.

Interestingly many Amerindians do not possess the epicanthic folds to their eyes that you might expect from peoples drawn from Asiatic ancestors.

Have any members done any of their own investigations on this particular idea?
