2) Yes and no. The way T works on the body is much stronger and permanent than estrogen. It will change bone structure and increase body hair in ways that estrogen cannot do (for M2F). However, genitalia is much more difficult to reproduce for f2m's as there is no good way to make a perfectly functioning penis at this point in time.
So, the ability to blend as a man is easier generally and earlier (and less expensive) - so social transition is quicker. However, if the desire is to posses a penis, the results are debatable within the trans male community.
