Bask, Stockings, Suspenders...
I had to look up the word "Bask". Have never heard it used to describe a piece of clothing. Am I the only one?
Only found it defined in a couple of old dictionaries (1939, 1958)
bask: "a kind of short-skirted jacket worn by women, a continuation of the bodice a little below the waist"
basque: "a woman's closely fitting bodice, seperate from the dress skirt: originally from the Basque costume"
