I really can't say why cartoons turn some people on .. I have to admit that cartoons per se do nothing for me ..
For me (subject matter aside, of course) .. the attraction is in the artwork itself .. which is why I, personally much prefer the "traditionally" drawn figures .. as opposed to the "comic" style .. or worse still the "grotesque" (to me) style of depicting breasts & genitalia to outrageous proportions ..
That said, there's no denying the talent of the artists concerned ..
It's very much a matter of personal preference .. I just happen to like the artwork I look at or paint to resemble "real" people ..
I currently have two new pieces "on the stocks" which I'll post on the Forum in due course ..
