We never studied them in any of my marketing classes in college. Probably because it was still too new. But I never really had a high opinion of it, nor did most of my friends. Definitely not “the invention of the century.”
Although I can see where it could be useful in certain situations.

I feel
almost the same way regarding “scooters.” Especially if you are “over 21” and dressed for business and carrying a briefcase. We have some on campus and it’s OK for my students to ride them but me? Never. Besides my students all like my Harley better.
However I do not feel the same way about
