This thread is about “Dream Girls” and I took it for a brief turn towards college football. Where the “dream girls” are cheerleaders, dancers, and sometimes other athletes.
Why would a healthy young man, otherwise intelligent, successful, and already dating someone very pretty, choose to play a sport where you can suffer severe injuries, concussions, and yes, even (rarely) get killed?
God, Andy, that’s a dumb question. (You of all people should know the answer...)

(The other reason is if you actually do make it through to the highest level – which is something less than 1% of 1% of 1% – it can pay pretty well. Russell Wilson’s base salary for 2019 is $35,000,000 USD And that's all I have to say about that...
