Just heard the very sad news via TMZ that Cameron Boyce who starred with Dove in “Descendants” has passed away. His family issued a statement saying that Cameron died in his sleep “due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition."
Cameron was a popular star on many Disney channel series, including “Jessie” and was one of the main “VK’s” and best friend of “Mal” in Descendants. Just Friday night my nieces and I watched “Descendants 2” in preparation for the 3rd Descendants movie in August.
The character he played “Carlos,” was the son of Cruella De Vil from “101 Dalmatians.” In the movie Descendants however he is a dog lover. The youngest of the main leads, Cameron was incredibly talented and his dance moves at the end of the movie stole the show.
My two nieces are staying at one of my wife’s sisters as we prepare to leave on our cross-country trip so haven’t been able to talk to them yet. I know Carlos was one of their favorite characters.
Cameron Boyce was only 20. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as well as the other members of the Descendants cast. I’m sure more details will emerge later today. That’s him on the left.
