Seriously, there were a lot of great posts and also more discussion years ago.
I've been spending a lot of time on my vacation going back through the site. I think it all must have gone downhill after I joined...
(There were also more than a few trolls, bullies, and "internet tough guys." Plus I forgot how bad the "ungendering" was sometimes. There was a lot of disrespect shown towards transwomen in general as well as other members. More than now. Not everyone who posted back then was like ila, Bionca, Franalexes, Jenae LaTorque, Shadows, transjen, hankhavelock, JodieTS, smc, etc. Their thoughtful and insightful posts in particular helped me a great deal and are what made me join TLB in the first place. )
