Quite a few of the above (re: poll options).

I think we all come here for the community spirit. Well, maybe some don't -- but I feel they're missing a lot if they don't engage. Then again, every person has the right to use this forum as they wish. I just know humans are social creatures and crave acceptance and likemindedness.

I enjoy getting my thoughts into cyberspace and receiving the thoughts of others. It's an ongoing dialogue, externally (on the forum) and internally (in mine and others' consciousnesses). I find the Internet utterly fascinating in this regard. It can, has and *is* changing the way we think and feel.

Of course, I also come here to get some pornographic kicks. There'd be no point in being here if arousal didn't enter into it in some capacity. Seeing new pics and vids, and reading other people's comments to those pics and vids in certain situations, is a good experience. When you find something you like, you should stick with it. Or at least see how far the thrill goes.

There's also a part of me that seeks insight. It's not that I necessarily want literal explanations for things, but I definitely value exploring an issue, going further, looking from different angles, getting a "bigger" understanding. That's important in life. In fact, I wonder why anyone would go on living if they felt learning new things was a waste of time.

I also fancy myself as an egalitarian, despite having a pathetically limited understanding of history, politics, society, religion, art and science (etc). Bit by bit, I want to flesh out my conceptions of the world and human experience at large. My problem is that I'm very insular and do this only by following the things I personally like, leaving me ignorant of so much around me. I suppose we're all that way to one extent or another, though. It's just a case of being honest with yourself. And that, my friend, is very hard to do . . .

Had to invoke Bruce Lee at the end.
