Just heard from the people who were going to give me a really great job working with GLBT runaways. Seems that they can't quite get their funding together. Looks like I'm unemployed and looking for work. Problem is, I have a degree in Social Work and there is a surplus of Social Workers here
. That and my focus is as a children's advocate, the laws in my state prohibit my working with minors.
Guess I get to feel the sting of looking for work as a transwoman whose documentation doesn't all quite match up. Because of my birth state's refusal to change the birth certificate, I'll have some explaining to do if the job does any sort of background check...
