The "shot" part of the phrase "cum shot" refers to capturing the moment of cumming in a photograph (often referred to as a "shot," as in "Look at this picture I shot of a girl cumming"). The picture below, however, suggests that the phrase can at least also refer to the effect of cumming, like a bullet shooting out of a gun.
