Actually, it really depends on who's doing the calling. As it seems the person calling me it is new here and, let's face it, this whole acceptable name business is a minefield for a lot of people on here, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time. I doubt there are many people who would call me a ladyboy if they saw me in person as I, personally, would always associate the term with young, petite, oriental girls (your mileage may vary on that) which I am none of, regretably. However, I did have a woman shout it at me in the street a few years ago when I had longer hair - she clearly meant it as an insult but I just laughed at her. I wasn't even dressed at the time incidently.

PS: References to 'choo-choo' trains just put me in mind of ancient dance crazes like the Locomotion - you're clearly showing your age
