Take the time to follow these advices one by one as they're written in the post... In all probability, you will be pleasantly surprise: either she will go along with it, or she won't react as negatively as you anticipate. If you proceed gradually enough, you'll be able to reassess the situation anyways if things turns badly, as to go for broke or not.
