I appreciate your effort to answer the question, but I think your explanation is misfocused. Perhaps the distinction for the person looking at pictures of various people is as you write, but from the perspective of the CD or femboy I believe it to be quite different. That is where the focus of a definition should lie.

A crossdresser does not self-identify as female, but as a male in female clothing. Otherwise, the CD is a transsexual.

In my experience, the "femboys" (or "traps" -- a term I use a lot in my posts in this thread and that I have defined previously) either identify as female or are getting very close to (struggling with) admitting that they have gender dysphoria.
