First of all, I don't have my "knickers in a twist." We have endured endless posts from people who say there are no transsexuals in this or that place. I'm weary of it. That's all.

As for an apology, well ... that's not necessary. But I feel compelled to point out that apologizing BECAUSE someone reacted is a politician's apology, not a real apology. If you want to apologize, do so for making the wrong statement, not because of how I took it.
