There are some great Mods out there, but they are unfortunately exclusive to the PC.
Make sure it's patched up to 1.15! 
I loved Oblivion(I played for months and I didn't even advance the main storyline beyond my character escaping from the prison at the start of the game! It's huge! 
Have you played Fallout 3 at all? It is a huge game, like Oblivion, and it uses the same engine(Gamebryo) as Oblivion as well. |
Torchlight ? Pretty entertaining.
No patching though as it's on the xbox
