I don't hate Fenway Park, in fact I think it would be a fun place to watch a ball game in(the fans would be quite boistrous). I just think the foul pole and the painted line make in unnecessarily confusing and a little "touching up" could perhaps solve that problem.

I wish that Toronto could get an outdoor stadium, but I think we're stuck with the Rogers Centre for a loooooong time.
You are correct that there was discussion a few years back of building a new ballpark in a different part of Boston. But it was abandoned, partly thanks to a public outcry. Instead, the owners of the Red Sox have made great improvements to the park, increasing the seating capacity and installing more modern amenities, without ever changing its fundamental look or character. It is, in fact, quite an architectural feat they've accomplished.
