Thanks for your response Jodie. Specifically, I was referring to your comment about spacecase being mentally-ill, not needing a medical degree to diagnose him, & smc?s apparent quotation of you- in a public post. It was placed toward the end of your public response to spacecase. This was the comment which I considered insulting. Not simply referring him to help elsewhere. Further, he did ask a reasonable question regarding estrogen as if he can?t qualify/obtain testosterone replacement, seeking to find out from people who might know best how well estrogen therapy would maintain bone density.

The matter of pms does not relate to what I wrote, as I would have no knowledge concerning the content of your pms anyway. That they exist and that smc confirms receiving similar pms- I believe you both.

I speculated on the motivations which may have driven the OP to take the action he took. I know several non trans individuals who have taken a DIY approach to genital modification precisely because they have no intention to transition & thus didn?t/couldn?t/wouldn?t receive medical help to address BIID issues. BIID can be sexualized & it appears that the OP has done that, though, I will likewise admit that I am not qualified to provide diagnosis either.

Some here- tgirls and non tgirls- diminish the consequences & potential loss resulting from orchiectomy/antiandrogens/estrogen. Though I have expressed aesthetic appeal, I have also responded to those who talk about erectile function as if it is completely mental and utterly irrespective of testosterone. So spacecase is not unique in addressing castration in a somewhat casual way.

We?re all grown-ups and know insults happen. My point in objecting to what appears as insulting language is the *appearance* of a privileged bully pulpit- where tgirls can insult others, but not the other way around. It is not to diminish the reality that tgirls often get insulted by the non t community. The moderators take measures to clarify when posters accidentally or intentionally ungender tgirls, and I applaud that. Quite simply, my concern is that a community seeking to improve understanding (specifically, toward tgirls & more broadly, to those with body dysphoria by extension) should exercise understanding to all those who enter, trans or not. If you think someone is in severe need of psychiatric care, this can be stated in a pm, no?
