Jodie, whereas it isn't a good idea to use a burdizzo on oneself (what with the risk of death, infection, or other severe problems requiring hospitalization), some folks do have castration fantasies and/or body identity integrity disorder & would be just as desperate as many tgirls to rid their body of unwanted/"non-self" parts. Your post comes off as more than sobering- it is insulting. It is strange because your responses are often insightful about unique perspective and experiences, as well as offering support & opportunity for understanding.

Someone who could not get orchiectomy without either going through chemical anti-androgen treatment or living as a tgirl when he in fact does not identify as female faces a significantly different route than a tgirl. Both situations are difficult (& I acknowledge the tgirl's route is much harder in many ways), yet there are unique difficulties for one with BIID to remedy their situation. Self-surgery or related DIY approaches do get entertained as options when one cannot obtain legitimate medical authorization. The last thing a person needs who isn't allowed to address their sense of self is condescension.
