You have to take Oestrogen, for the rest of your life.
Erectile function may still occur*, though it can take longer to get going. As Mandy amply demonstrates...

Most Ts don't get erect. And often this is prior to starting hormones of having an orchi.
It's down to in many cases a loathing of their genitalia.
I don't know about Mandy's thought process on that and I'm sure she will answer if she sees the post and is comfortable doing so
(well it is pretty personal, question wise, but still, you guys, I may well ask you lot about your own erectile function )
With me, I get very hard, harder than pre-transition. Partly because my body is lining up more with how I identify inside.
And partly because I don't have a loathing on my penis, more a complete indifference to it.

Oh another thing.
Long term HRT and either an orchi or an antiandrogen (chemically stops the testicles functioning) causes shrinkage!
My penis now has less girth and is maybe an inch shorter.
That means really strong erections really hurt.
As in fuckin' painful and not at all sexy.
And that really is a huge disincentive to not penetrate anyone.
Though penetration is something which fraks up my head, anyway.
