The availability of services varies hugely, from region to region.

Oh, while I could have applied to get things through the NHS for free
(to me), somebody pays for this stuff and that person is the tax payer.

I look on the NHS services as an emergency facility
and also a safety net to provide {in an arbitrary and inconsistent way}
free essential medical services {such as trans related things}
to those unable to fund things themselves.

Consequently, I paid for everything privately.
That explains why
my Mazda MX-5 MkII, is eleven years old
and my Honda Fireblade RRV, is fourteen years old.
