Well I don't care for labels to complex situations, they create problems and negative stereotypes. Unfortunately mankind has been fighting steroetypes since the dawn of civilization.

Knowing that, I don't bother fighting other people's labels of me. Unless of course I can prove without of shred of doubt their label is inaccurate. Most times it's just plain impossible to prove in the most factual way. Labels are often times subjective and rarely is there a clear cut definition.

In other words, I consider myself bisexual. I'm attracted to women and the illusion of femininity. I have no qualms others labeling me as gay, if that's the only way they can process it or they just want to use the term in a derogatory fashion. Seriously I know what straight, and gay mean. So it's hardly an insult to me. I don't bother wasting time trying to convince others that gay isn't a putdown. I'd rather they rant and rave in their stupidity and go I can home and giggle about it.

There's no use confronting stupidity or deliberate ignorance, it only creates more problems. I just let them feel big and mighty calling me gay, when in fact they are using the term wrong. I feel better letting them feel big about it, because I know the truth and I know who and what I am.
