Just be brave and try it out discretely, chat or phone to start out to get yourself really ready to do it in "real life" ... I have personally chatted several guys through their first time on the phone and then they have told me later that gave them the courage and the drive to really do this in their face to face life...
I felt really good about that because I got to play someone through something and gave them the feeling they really COULD do this ....
