It is true that knowing how to skate is a definite plus for playing hockey. However, as Jen surely knows from the days of her beloved Broad Street Bullies, as long as you can get from one end of the rink to another with a high stick, ready to slash or body check, you don't need to be
too good at the actual skating part.
