It looks like Montreal wasn't the only team that could not hold a lead against Washington, as Ottawa had the same thing happen to them last night(except that the game ended in regulation this time). Ottawa had a 3-1 lead at one point, and then it was 4-3 Washington! Ottawa scored 3 more in a row to make it 6-4 and Washington almost came back. That is two games in a row that the defense of Washington has disappeared.

Varlamov's return to net after missing a long period of time due to injury was not a pretty one.
