I used to play road hockey(or ice hockey on a frozen field, but with shoes rather than skates) with a group of friends when I was younger. I had a lot of fun! If the snow was piled around the play area, we would "check" each other off the "puck"(either a tennis ball or a hard plastic ball...the plastic one hurt a little when it hit you as we played without any protective equipment.). Loads of fun! The worst injuries we ever got were the odd bruise, and nothing was ever broken(except our rhythm when someone yelled "car!" and we had to move the nets

).
That is one aspect of winter-time that I miss. The cold didn't bother me then like it does now.
