Well, I agree with you somewhat. If you purchase a half-decent rig you will still be able to play the majority of games with all the bells and whistles and the computer game is cheaper to purchase(on average) than the exact same game on a console.
Of course, both consoles and computers always seem to be on a never-ending cycle. You purchase the "new" machine and it rocks! Then in only a few short years you have to fork out more money on a new system because the old one isn't good enough any more. If all console systems were backwards compatible so that all the games from the older systems were playable on the new one(because a classis is a classic after all

) then I would be more apt to purchase a console system.
Nothing wrong with consoles, though. I am not one of those computer owners that look down upon console users.:D I just wish that the ports of games originally from consoles wouldn't suck so bad sometimes. I pay hard-earned money just like a console gamer, so why should I get an inferior product?
