Depends which bar, the best ones are posted on this site and you can complain to a bar owner. In some you might encounter the wrong end of a baseball bat if you complain.
Keep all but spending money in your room safe or hotel safe. If you have a room bar, check every bottle to see if it has been opened and used as soon as you arrive (I regularly find that has happened and I make the room maid replace them - she probably swaps them with another room's rather than pay herself). I never let my camera out of my sight. Laptops are a bit more difficult. Hotel might have big enough safe otherwise don't take it and use internet cafe.
