Golfer challenges LPGA's rule you have to be a born woman

This just came through on Yahoo News. A transgendered person challenges a "born woman" golfing rule.

I can't help but think that anything that keeps a person from playing golf, even if the person thinks that she or he wants too, is probably a good thing -- including discrimination. Sometimes, humans just to be protected from the miserable things we might want to do.

Some day, the world will rid itself of things like war, pestilence, golf, poverty ...

This reminds me of the controversy over the olympic runner. She really did look like a muscular man in female costume and if I remember correctly, she won by quite a margin.

Perhaps one day sport will disregard "gender" like we disregard "race". While we're at it, nationality aswell!

You're right: wacking the grass with a stick doesn't require any particular skill or strength. Wacking a ball and hitting it in a certain direction and a reasonable length, however, does.

Why anyone would want to do it, though, is beyond me.

Apparently it is really relaxing...

Nope. Me getting a date with Fran or Bionca would be a precursor to the end of the world.

Actually, being on a date with either Fran or Bionca would be like the end of the world has already occurred as it would be heavenly!:)
