shave or wax

I have been shaving for some time now but i keep getting ingrowing hairs which is a major pain in the ass, and by shaving i mean down stairs, so i decided to look for advice here.

I will like to wax as is much better due to the whole ingrowing hair business but i know it will hurt so do u have any advice on how to avoid the shaving bumps and i only stroke downwards and not upwards as is one way to avoid the bumps but any more ideas.

thanks

As someone who has waxed down there, I highly recommend it. And to be honest, it doesn't hurt that much at all (in my experience at least). The first time is by far the most painful and if you get it done regularly, it will become easier each time.

I know people (both guys and girls) who have had painful experiences waxing, although from what I have learnt, a lot of the pain depends on the person doing the waxing. The place that I go to is great and the girls there are extremely kind and careful and do everything they can to make things as painless as possible.

But I guess the only way to know is to give it a go. As I said, if the pain was bearable the first time, it will only get better from there. And nothing the soft, smooth feeling you get from waxing.

Hope this helps.

Shaving or Waxing? Been there, done that and they both suck. I finally found the real answer. Laser hair removal, baby. The pain is no worse than waxing, and it really does permanently remove about 90% of your hair; you can get rid of the other 10% with electrolysis. I have found an affordable way to get a girly-smooth body.

Not a Fan of Either

I use Magic Powder. It's a depilitory powder you mix with water. After 6 min or so you wash it off and you are sqeaky clean. It's usually found in shaving supplies. Very gentle - for front to back hair removal - with no burn. Some nudist friends recommended it to me.

Shave

I shave, but maybe I should be using magic powder, since I shave everywhere, it would be a major time saver.

i shave but i want to start waxing

XombieMode 07-15-2010 08:13 PM

Wax feels more comfortable after, and it will take weeks to for the hair to grow, while shaving is more tiresome, stubbles will grow within the day, and after only 2 days new hair starts to grow not to mention it itches. :frown:

It stings a little when you do it but doesn't itch like crazy for days after.

I shave my balls* and sometimes make a longer treasure line to my cock* I've tried shaving some of my ass too

tslust 07-19-2010 05:04 PM

I'm thinking about starting wax.

merelypink 07-20-2010 07:47 AM

wax is the way to go baby!@

tgirlluvver 11-30-2010 05:18 PM

I get to wax the full monty every 2 months or so. ;)

Sort of a necessity when one lives practically on the Equator! :p

AdamTheQuick 03-13-2011 12:47 PM

Waxing or Shaving?

I prefer the girls that wax. Those shave bumps are...gross.

k.sucks.you 03-22-2011 01:34 AM

You will still get ingrown hairs if you wax. They will likely be in the same area as you did when you shaved. It may even be worse since they have further to grow to find their way out. When you shave, the end is right at the surface. When you wax, the hair starts deep down. Scrub, exfoliate, use cleansing creams, and they'll still happen.

My guess is that the creams and magic powder will still leave you susceptible to ingrown hairs. I have never successfully used them.

I get waxed everywhere but my legs for about $75 every six weeks or so. It's better than shaving IMHO. How does one safely shave a scrotum? :) laser is looking more appealing though. It adds up.

I can't understand science. Seems they should be able to solve this hair problem... :)

Reference the above post,,,,sounds like maybe the last thing to try would be laser hair removal.
Next trick, find someone that does laser "down there".

I used a portable laser, that you can buy on the net. I dose work, I am getting very smooth, and I don't get any ingrown hairs.

have been shaving, but want to try wax. need to do more research or laser though, could be an option

RawrKitten 04-29-2011 03:35 PM

Right now I'm waxing but I'm seriously considering permanent laser treatment. I've been looking into it for a while and it's actually not that expensive considering that you don't have to think about hair problems anymore.

It's just pretty freaky to think about getting shot with lasers

ritacd 05-15-2011 03:01 PM

Way is the best. I try everything.
But the next step is the laser or IPL, and good bye hair.

Kakariko 06-19-2011 02:59 AM

I usually shave.. I've tried waxing a few times and it's quite painful for me down below.

On another note, I sometimes shave or wax my legs, but the holes that the hairs grow from are still visible. When I see girls with shaved legs, they are incredibly smooth. Is there some way to reduce the little tiny red dots all over my legs? It's not very noticable, especially at a distance, but still.. it bothers me and if I can get rid of it, then all the better :)

Lost999 06-29-2011 09:59 PM

Waxing provides a smoother surface.

I've been shaving regular for about three years without negative results. If you are having problems I would make certain you use the best razors that you can afford and plenty of good shaving cream and warm water.

Good luck!

I shave and wax. Depends on which parts. Next mouth I'm getting lasered ill let you know how it goes

fotoform 03-16-2012 12:02 AM

I shave and wax too

pacman88 03-18-2012 01:22 AM

wax. i am alright with shaved too though. i just prefer wax.

stephanie4life 03-20-2012 02:09 PM

Just bought a epalady. Saving my money for some more hair removal

josejaxon 06-03-2012 10:53 PM

I want to say that wax is better option because it hurts more than doing save but you get an outstanding result to wax your inner hair. After wax you really feel that now your all body inner parts looking too clean and very sexy. So, I must say that you should wax your all bodi's inner parts.

Naked Freedom 06-09-2012 08:54 PM

Use laser hair removal, its faster and more effective. Electrolysis can also be a solution, but i dont know much about it.

rubberist 06-11-2012 02:32 AM

Laser is best but it's expensive. Epilator works for me. It's not so messy as waxing.

antonia_bee 07-16-2012 12:32 PM

shaving is just easy

I shave. End of story. I have tried everything else but always return to the razor

Epilator - longer between use, but lots of ingrown hair. painful
Wax - painful, not easy to do yourself, costs a lot to have done properly
Laser - too permanent and costly

I like my tructing razor because it's cheap, fairly foolproof and simple. I know it takes ages, but I don't mind
