Hemorrhoids and Anal Sex: Bloody Good Time

Ha ha...Not really. I've been diagnosed with having hemorrhoids, and let me tell you, it kills my sex life, particularly anal sex (which I enjoy). Are there any remedies/advice for reducing the inflammation/itchiness?

There are prescription medications which will reduce hemmorhoidal swelling or get rid of your hemorrhoids altogether. I had the problem a few years back. My doctor gave me a prescription and after a few days there were no more hemerrhoids and I haven't had a recurrence. I don't know what the doctor prescribed, but it was a cream that had to be administered internally through anal injection (polite way to say how it was done).

Hermorrhoids are a pain in the arse!
as for remedies there are ..........
Pharmacy medicine like 'Proctosedyl' ointment
Herbal Creams like 'Hamamelis' (witch hazel) made by Martin & Pleasance

try to have a 'high fibre' food (bran) intake to make your 'stools' soft
and apply witch hazel ointment to stop itchiness (may burn a little)

I hope this helps

Hi

I have had haemorrhoids for many years. First keep the area very clean, use baby wipes instead of toilet tissue and treat any itching or swelling with lavender oil (your local health store will have this). When they get bad you can have them injected with an oily phenol solution. This is an out-patient procedure. It is not very pleasant and uncomfortable for a few days but can radically reduce the prblem for many years. I have had it done twice now. Thirdly there is surgery, which I am told is very painful but very effective.

Hope this helps

Steve
