I am a massive fan of stargate SG1, Atlantis and of course the new Universe.
Anymore hardcore fans? :)

I enjoyed SG1(although not as much the last couple of seasons), and Atlantis had a totally different feel to it. I enjoyed the first four seasons but I have yet to see the fifth(I own the first four on DVD).

I have not seen Universe yet, but I am certain that I will pick it up on DVD as well. Wasn't Stargate Universe originally supposed to be a MMO video game?

I don't really consider myself to be a hardcore fan, butt ya it's cool.

The movie was the best followed by SG-1 and lastly Atlantis.

The Kurt Russel/James Spader combo was good and I think Michael Shanks did a good job taking over as Daniel Jackson.

Yeah, but they killed him off so many times I thought that he was going to beat the Iolus record(Iolus was the sidekick from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He died a lot.:lol:).;)

What did you think of the two DVD movies to finish off SG1? Ark of Truth and Continuum?

I liked them , but i wish that they'd continued the SG-1 series. But it was on the air a long time.

I have to agree the Gould being the best villians. You must watch SGU! I think it may be a video game but the series has nothing to do with anything like that.. a whole new concept, a bit like 'lost' the way its filmed. Truely fantastic!

I love Doctor Who also, when is the new doctor to be aired?

With a new retro TARDIS and companion.

I haven't watched any of the new ones after Tennant's first season, but I will hopefully catch up one of these days.

I am also a fan of the classic Doctor Who(cheesy as it may be), and I have about 20 or so of the "series" on DVD. The restoration crew on them have done a bang-up job! I highly recommend picking up some of the sets if you can get them.:cool:

Sounds totally different than the previous two series, which is a good thing. I will check it out, but since I do not have anything besides basic cable I will have to get it on DVD when it comes out.:)

I have " Genesis of the Daleks " w/ Tom Baker and have seen a few of the old b&w episodes.

Tennent is my fave Doctor. I liked his style and personality. Can't wait to see his last episode , apparently he goes out w/ a bang.

I actually preferred Eccleston as Doctor(Tom Baker is also another fav).:cool:

Tennent(I guess I spelled his name wrong in my other post) isn't bad, though.

I misspelled it , David Tennant. Christopher Eccleston was great and perfect to reintroduce the Doctor.

Most threads get hijacked at some point. But the hijack is not too bad , as it pertains to another great sci-fi show that i'm sure Stargate fans would enjoy.

I dunno. I could never get into Dr. Who. But that's just me.

On Feb 9th 2010, they are releasing SGU 1.0 on DVD and Blu-ray. It has the first 9 episodes of Stargate: Universe Season 1.

I will admit that I do not like when they release these half-season sets. It smacks of them trying to get my money twice as the sets are usually the same price as a complete season of other shows of a similar vein. Battlestar Galactica did the same thing for Season 2 and Season 4 and that really irked me!

Anyone here going to pick up the set when it comes out on Feb 9th?

It sucks that Claudia Black got killed off in Pitch Black. :(

Especially with her having the same last name as the movie.;)
