Local Murder
 

An Iranian refugee was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her male roommate this week. Not very far from where I live.

Majid Kolestani, a transgendered woman must serve at least 18 years before being eligible for parole.

I can't think of a worse tragedy for this woman. A refugee of Iran, seeking a better life in the U.S. , murders her roomate out of a jealous rage because he wanted to return to Iran to be with a woman.

Indeed, when my wife left me, I was ticked off, real friends knocked some common sense into my head which I'm forever thankful to them for that.

If only I could have known her, perhaps she wouldn't have been in this situation today. What a tragedy for her.
