I was JUST trying to remember the first exposure I'd ever had to TG girls and I realized it was The Crying Game. It took me many years to act on the impulse, but that 'reveal' scene didn't gross me out, either...it made me curious, excited, and a little confused that I was so attracted to the girl both before and after the surprise. I wonder how many men broadened their horizons after seeing that flick.

The Crying Game, without doubt one of the best movies ever, not only because of the great Jaye Davidson.

Another movie with a TS as main charcter is Breakfast on Pluto (2005).

Certainly the earliest and perhaps the most influential movie for me was “The World According to Garp.” Although only 10 or 11 when it was released, I saw it on video as a teenager. John Lithgow’s portrayal of transsexual “Roberta Muldoon” (a 6’4” former football player… ;)) was nominated for an Academy Award. Although it has been many years since I saw “Garp,” what I recall most is that Roberta seemed like a real person and not a caricature. In the story she becomes Robin Williams’ best friend. Does anyone remember this movie?
