Caution regarding links
 

Hi everyone, I was reading a few of the recommended links for viewing pics and video clips and thought it was worth mentioning that although they are great links, they are sites that more than often re-direct to other websites instead of the desired page. These re-directed websites are full of malware, adware, spyware , trojans, spybots and tracking threats. The standard anti-virus and internet security programmes wont usually detect them. If you spend a while browsing these sites your computer will be infiltrated with anything up to 60 to 100 infections, some elevated or even serious threats, some just undesirable cookies. This is not a problem if you have a good spyware protection and scan your computer immediately after browsing. I use the Spyware Doctor and you can download for free at http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/download/

This is not meant to scare anybody from viewing those sites, just a note to those that are unaware of this malpractice. Just be sure to run a scan immediately after browsing. Rgds

I use Kapersky anti virus ver.7.0. It constantly monitors as you enter websites. I have not had any problems since it was installed. It immediately informs me if it encounters a Trojan and it updates every day. :yes:
