Did you know that in Japan there is a beer marketed towards kids?

Check it out: http://www.weirdasianews.com/2007/05...beer-for-kids/

I'm not sure whether this resolves the age-old "nature or nurture" debate.

Me too, dauls. I have just one beer per day (from the biggest mug or glass that I can find).

You just had to post a picture with a damned crow in it, didn't you?:p:lol:

With regards to the picture, I have to say that it is a typical action from a dastardly, evil crow.:lol:

It wasn?t easy to find an acceptable one.
I find birds, and especially songbirds and pigeons, annoying too. But I respect several members of the crow family, because of their intelligence.

I might have respected them had they not shit on every square inch of ground at work and stunk it to high heaven. Having about 300000 crows milling about at one location tends to do that.;)

How do you feed them, to allow such a huge population?
Maybe you should guard the food supplies from the crows.

During the non-winter months, the crows migrate to different parts of North America and the main flock shrinks immensely. Unfortunately, during the winter, they all join up into one huge flock and descend like locusts upon our city.

They feed on garbage and feast on whatever they can get in the fields. They roosted at the plant because it was nice and quiet, which was quite unfortunate as well.

ETA: Great pictures, by the way!:)

aw9725 05-05-2010 01:42 PM

All this crow talk made me think of "The Birds." And then I remembered this scene from Mel Brooks "High Anxiety"!

Is there nothing your city or state do against these beautiful landfills or the gaping wide open waste containers, or where else the garbage is stored?
I guess the fields give not too much in the winter time.

The person driving that vehicle in the landfill is probably looking around wondering if the birds are going to go after him!;):lol:

Some of these remind me of the "Far Side." Gotta go find the "Floating Head of Death" one. Be back soon!

Glad you liked it, aw. I agree with you about the similarities between the two cartoons. The Far Side and The Argyle Sweater have similar styles(and similar types of humour). I loved reading The Far Side, so it makes sense that I would love The Argyle Sweater as well.

And that Floating Head of Death one? Classic!:respect:

I have made a few with one that has Batman and Robin in various comic panels. They are quite funny, but I cannot recall the site where they had the base panels with which you could place the words.

Given what we know of shadows AND the job he has, I think this picture of him and his co-workers might be more accurate.

I hope so, but I suspect it's more likely that he's trying to avoid provoking them in some way.
