You have to read up because there are also a number of online pharmacy scam sites, and of course all the herbal feminization pills are bogus and possibly dangerous in the dosages they recommend.

The thing is, if you're going to self-medicate, you should still be honest with your doctor (he's not going to have you arrested or anything) and have your liver checked now and then. There are 3 ways to take estrogen:

Pills: Estrofem is simple and cheap, but taking more than 2mg/day is a big stress on your liver. You also want to be taking baby aspirin to help prevent clots.

Transdermal patches: Patches are the safest thing, but they're the most expensive. You need multiple patches to get good results, and the highest dosages are pretty big patches. Some of them are like wearing a panty liner on your hip. Vivelle is the best because their 100mcg patches are still only about 1 square inch.

Estrogen injections: These are very effective, and surprisingly cheap. A lot of tgirls use nothing but injections, but that gives you major hormone spikes/dips. If you don't want to go all PMS between injections you can also use a patch or pills to even out your levels. Of course there's the inherent scariness of sticking needles in yourself...
