Exactly what I was referring to in my tongue-in-cheek posting. Like you, I wasn't referring to BlueRaven's use of the term as it has become so commonplace to incorrectly use pre.

The Conquistador 05-03-2012 09:56 PM

Anyone else waiting for Borderlands 2 to come out?

franalexes 05-04-2012 06:49 AM

Pre-purchasing means I have paid for it and once it's released

No. You paid in advance. The vendor didn't want to use that term because it sounds like he gets something while you get nothing; which is true.

Getting drilled is way ahead of getting screwed.

cwjakesteel 05-28-2012 08:05 PM

Well I just got Sniper Elite V2 for PC. The graphics are amazing...or maybe that's just my PC...

What's really been keeping me Busy is Travian and OGame.

GRH 05-29-2012 04:45 PM

Lately I've been buying the Wii's "Nintendo Select" series-- most recently bought the "Mario Super Sluggers" and "Mario Strikers Charged." I also just adore downloading old, nostalgic games from my childhood-- the other day I played a couple of hours in "Blaster Master." I haven't played that game in it seems like twenty-and-some-odd years.

babeshiela 06-01-2012 04:02 PM

I like playing ps2 and xbox

tslust 06-03-2012 07:54 PM

I can't decide if I want to get Batman Arkham City, Dead Island or Unity of Command.

Go play Earthbound and Super Metroid.

Batman Arkham City was good. I have it for PC. It felt short though. It's mainly a game for the fans.

I played Super Metroid back in the day...And they have it as a downloadable game for the Virtual Console. Earthbound...It sounds so familiar (I might have rented it back in the day or played it at a friend's house). However, this one isn't available as a download. But check out the price at Amazon...Used copies of Earthbound are going for hundreds of dollars!

Quite glad you've played Super Metroid. It is the SNES classic which stands to this day--I hear people rave about Link to the Past but the game's puzzles lack complexity. It doesn't satsify me.

Earthbound on the other hand is a very quirky RPG. Imagine America if there was a megalomaniacal alien trying to take over the world, only you and a group of other psychically gifted children were all that stood in its way and a team of Japanese writers coming off a high wrote it. If you've played Super Smash Bros you've seen the main character of the game: Ness. I'm not one to encourage illegal activity but you can easily find a SNES emulator and an Earthbound ROM. Very much worth it. It also has a sequel: Mother 3. Earthbound is actually the second of the series. Mother is the name for the series in Japan.

Diablo 3

Anyone play in diablo3?
If yes ... what the race and what server?

ThirdEyeGirl 06-18-2012 10:46 AM

Don't know if anyone is interested. But I've joined an online racing association, and it has a way for you to watch when I race. The race events utilize Forza Motorsports 4. Witch I'm an avid player of. And I'm exited to get some real racing in. :)

So if you are interested, just search this for what series I will race in, and when I'll be racing. http://www.theonlineracingassociatio...pionships.html

My soonest race will be the NA TCC on Tue. at 6pm PST. If anyone cares to watch. Though I'm not sure if that series is covered or not. It's relatively new.
If not, you can always catch me racing in the TORA 24 hours of Le Mans from 6am Sat. June 30th - 6am Sun. July 1st PST.
Now I won't be runing the entire 24 hours (thank goodness), and I don't know as of yet witch stints I'll be running. But I will be in the race. :)
I'm excited!

Metal gear solid HD collection on xbox 360
Playing MGS2 on hard.
Not played it since the original MGS2 came out on PS2.
Total class of a game.

EdwardSinclair 07-14-2012 09:12 AM

I've been playing Classic Ragnarok, from Gravity warpportal, for the past week. It's a MMORPG, but since it's a new server that opened about 2 weeks ago, everyone is at the start! It's a 10 year old PC game, meaning even my older pc from 2002 can still run it!

They've got a huge community in there, but levelling is a very slow process!

They have some info on the game in their facebook:

Absolutely agree. All 4 MGS are clasics.

I just bought MGS4 and a couple of other games from abroad, but when I got back home I realized that I bought all the wrong games! I should have bought the MGS HD Collection and replay the quadology (or whatever it's called).

JodieTs 09-16-2012 07:14 PM

The Lengend of Zelda: Links Awakening.
On the Gameboy color.
I'm 2/3's of the way through this.
I played the b/w version loads of times years ago.
This version has an extra hidden dungeon in it....joy!

This is the best game I have ever played in my life.
I thought that in 1994, and I still feel the same way.

I love this game!

That's the exact opposite with me. I think the keyboard and mouse sucks for most games. I only use it in games where a controller is useless, like literal point and click games (Civilization, Tropico).

Other than that, I always use my PS3 or gamecube controller to play PC games.

The keyboard and mouse just don't give me the sensitivity of the 360 range on an analogue stick, the button layout with the shoulder buttons and the dual analogue support as well.

Try playing Jet Set Radio with a keyboard. Yuck.

I'am an Eve Online Player.
Sadly our Alliance has vaporized to much (Ev0ke).
But shooting Goons like Turkeys was fun as long as it lasted.

A.Ton.Of.Fun.And.Cum 04-01-2013 08:57 PM

Back and more Gamey than ever!

I saw the demo for the latest version of Eve Online, and those intergalactic wars looked epic! Haven't gotten into any MMOs yet, though. Holding until I can figure out the cost of online gaming. I'm an online gaming virgin, really.

I really hope the person who wrote about Earthbound is reading this forum thread still, because Vizzed has Earthbound up on their website along with other classic games! I'm also talking to you, Jodie! Tons of Game Boy Color titles on there for free. Of course, saving might be an issue on some of them.

Personally working on Fez on Xbox 360 right now. Any fellow Fez trauma victims here? For a puzzle game, it is HARD. I have a journal filled with notes for that game, that's how crazy it is.

Bleargh 04-24-2013 07:00 AM

Well I play occasionaly, recent games as well as very old ones, sometimes online sometimes single player games. I prefer Strategy Games and RPGs, but if it has a good story and is fun to play I try out a lot.

I prefer PC games as I'm a PC gamer. I don't have a good opinion about PS, PSP, Sexbox360 and so on.
Mostly I play ETS2, Racing games and sometimes - RPG/MMORPG games.

This is kinda shameless selfpromotion but two weeks ago a made a small game with a few friends during a gamejam.
It's called FOLD and it's about a bird who's afraid of flying. We made it in about 3 or 4 hours so it's rather small scale.
If you'd like to give it a try, download it here, it's free :)

I also made this fake famicom cartridge for the game :)

its_mousey 06-14-2013 03:12 PM

PS3 user here & if I'm not killing zombies, I'm watching porn on it - although I suppose it's possible to enjoy zombies AND porn at the same time (like Zombie Strippers), lol.

*Squeak!*

Sedusa666 07-30-2013 08:43 PM

I'm a huge fan of the Silent Hill, MGS, GTA, Mortal Kombat, Dead Rising and Twisted Metal series.

I'm very excited for GTA 5 and Arkham Origins.

asharon 07-31-2013 02:24 PM

I really liked Skyrim and am really looking forward to GTAV.

JodieTs 08-07-2013 01:02 PM

I love Skyrim, though I cried a lot, when I killed my first dragon.
It killed me 30 times first though, when I went up to it to make friends.....
I'm in love with Lydia "I am sworn to carry your burdens"
and I just got a talking dog: Barbas
Don't complete A Daedra's Best Friend quest and he stays with you
for the rest of the game. Also coz he is effectively a quest item, he cannot
be killed. I run into caveS or castles full of monsters or vampires or necromancers ect.
Barbas follows me and attacks them. As soon as he does, I run out.
10 minutes later I go back in to loot their bodies and meet back up
with Barbas, if he hasn't already wandered back out to me.
In Elder scrolls IV: Oblivion, there were a pair of twins who if you didn't
take them back to reclaim their ancestral home invaded by demons,
they also followed you round and were also quest items, indestructible and jolly useful too.
For Skyrim, here is an instruction video:

whale 11-15-2013 01:21 AM

GTA V is pretty good...if you guys haven't heard of it

SweetCheaks 11-26-2013 01:21 PM

I´ve played videogames almost all my life. It started when I got my GameBoy when I was 6 years old and I´ve been hooked since then :)

For now I mostly play StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, Dota2 (from time to time) and lots of other games such as point and click adventures ( I still have to finish the Deponia trilogy).
I have never really played MMORPG´s except for Champions Online. I still play The Secret World if I´m in the mood.

AsianCockLover23 04-16-2014 09:47 AM

A PS3 gamer here. Though I do play a bit of Planetside and some strategy games on PC.

These days I'm playing: Assassins Creed Black Flag, Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns & Beyond Two Souls.

Mrs Garrison 05-22-2014 05:00 AM

lordscott 07-27-2014 07:23 PM

I love gaming too as well

Fellow members i love gaming too as well and yes as you can tell I'm a older gamer too as well and i gladly will admit it I'm a 26 year old gamer,a anime fan and a manga fan if you think I'm too old/if you think I'm getting too old to love this stuff i fully understand and so far of the following systems i have so far are PlayStation 2,game boy color,Game boy advance,Xbox360,PSP3000 and NES.

And for my NES the motherboard it's completely rusted out,no longer works like it use to sadly and i don't know yet what to do with it i either replace just the motherboard alone or replace the whole thing only time will tell and before you asked me why did i say if you think I'm too old/if you think I'm getting too old to love this stuff i fully understand .

I will gladly tell you it's because some of my favorite characters and some of my all time favorite characters is either younger then me,same age as me or older then me and if you ever like a example of any of my favorite characters that's younger then me then look at Yuffia Kisaragi from final fantasy and Rita Mordio from tales of series and don't worry i do have other favorite characters and other all time favorite characters and yes I'll include other favorite final fantasy characters and tales of series characters if you want me too.
