Well good for you! There are many websites and webfora where I'm sure you can find a lot of information and support - www.urnotalone.com is an example. However, if you can befriend transsexual women in your own country/area that is also a good way for more personal support and contact.

You refer to "working in the industry". I believe I get the meaning, and if that's your thing, then best wishes - how ever, bear in mind that transsexuality is hardly centered about specific sexual activities but rather a way to identify as a human being.

What ever you choose then best wishes on your journey ahead.

www.tsroadmap.com is a most helpful site also. It is pretty specific to the US, but lots of the information can be adapted to anyplace.

As far as working in the industry... remember that only a few girls do more than a few photoshoots, much less films or anything resembling a career. One thing to alse keep in mind is the stigma attached to the sex industry in many places. You can't really use a career in porn to get a "mainstream" job.

That said, the money from sex work can be used to fund your transition and/or pay for schooling. It is one of many options open to you.

Default Congratulations

Many congratulations on embarking on a new and exciting life journey. I wish you every happiness - and plenty of health & wealth to back it up!

I don't know what country you live in so it's difficult to understand whether you are talking about the sex industry or something more supportive of other transgender people or any other type of work. Here in Thailand Ladyboys are everywhere - Checkout Girls in Tescos, Travel Reps, Bank Clerks.. You name it.

Back in the UK there was a thriving industry supporting Ladyboys. Shoe & Clothing suppliers, make-up specialists, dedicated transgender nightclubs, hotels, bars, restaurants and even holiday companies. I guess what I'm saying is that one alternative could be to become a part of that "support network" that you are now looking for, so that you can help others like you in the future.

There is no doubt that being a sex-worker (in whatever form) will probably get you the most money quickly - and this is possibly most important for those contemplating surgery - but please take care of your sexual health.

Whatever you do, I wish you every success.
