Crysis is a mix between Predator (for the camouflage), Gantz (for the suits), Rambo (for the TOTAL destruction of every fucking thing in the levels) and.... and a bit of.... uh... something I can't explain very well.

I have the game downloaded, but I'm really gonna buy it, this games deserves it.
Cheers for the advice, I'm on it

As far as HL2 goes, I won't say anything apart from the fact that you simply have to play it! I loved the first one but HL2 is just gold, absolute gold.

I played Diablo 2 HC for a few years. I could never really get into WoW because you can just die over and over and it doesn't matter.

I usually find a game I really like and play it incessantly. I got all gold on all the licenses and won Gran Turismo 2,3,4. I won Guitar Hero 1,2,3 on Expert. I played Alpha Centauri, Master of Orion 2, and Civ 2,3,4, until I'd won each of them a million times on the hardest settings. I won all the Red Alerts multiple times. But I haven't played many other games.

I know those are old games, but I'm 31! I was playing Ultima 4 all of 4th grade! I won Zork 1,2,3 when I was 8 years old!

My newest game is Fallout 3. For Christmas, I'm hoping to get either Call of Duty: World at War or EndWar. Either way, Russia FTW! Urrah!

Indeed, I love it too. I wasn't a fan of the first one, (far from it, I found it boring and dumb) but this one is great. I've spent at least 30-35 hours with it already and I'm still only at about 60%, I think. It could be better though and I hope the sequel will correct the mistakes and include a bit more to do. I'd rate it around 9/10.

Fallout 3 is awesome too, though it's too similar to Bethesda's previous game, that's why I think it's like "Oblivion with guns". Not a very bad thing, that game was great as well but I expected a bit more, and something different. Anyway, I enjoy it a lot, it deserves a 9/10 too.

Mirror's Edge is great too, I love it. There are only two problems, first is that it's too short, I wanted to play more, and the second is that you can't just go anywhere after the game's finished or there isn't a free-roaming mode (or something like that). Time trials are cool but that would've been better.
The graphics are beautiful and it doesn't require a beefy PC to run it well, the music is cool, the movement/moves are amazing and I loved the cut-scenes too. The only weakpoint of the gameplay were the fight scenes but other than that it's a very good game. 9/10 for sure. Let's hope there will be a sequel.

I love video games. After a rough day nothing blows off steam better than a fps.
I'm playing Fallout 3 for the 100th time and Bioshock as well. I am eagerly awaiting Bioshock 2 . I'm an rpg and fps fan and my console of choice is my X-Box 360 , i also have a wii and ps2 and many older systems sit in my gaming graveyard.

There is nothing wrong with old games! I still enjoy playing them from time to time(either playing the C64 versions via Emulator, using a slow-down program to play old PC games, or just playing them on my PC and hoping they still work). I am currently playing Pool Of Radiance II: Ruins of Myth Drannor.

I do have a story about Ultima IV(of which I am having a serious jonesing for, but I don't have a C64 copy on my current computer), though.

I played Ultima IV after school whenever I could on my rickety old C64. It was one of the best games I had ever played, but I got stuck at the end of it. I could not figure out what word I was supposed to type in at the end of the game(it turns out it was 'Infinity').

Until I could figure out what the word was, I was stuck! I lent the game to a friend with one request. That he make a copy of the game(I know, bad me, but I was a young kid at the time!) so it doesn't overwrite my game. Time passes and I finally get it back from him. I put the floppy in the drive(I knew what the proper word to use was at that time) and loaded up the game! And do you know what I saw? You guessed it! A new character at the beginning of the game!

I was just a tad pissed off about that.

I personally love my 360 , however now that the PS3 has lowered their price it does make it a tempting purchase. Plus it has a built in blu-ray player and some good games available and more coming soon.

Wasn't it insane when the PS3 first came out? People were able to get almost $2000 selling theirs online due to their being a lack of supply for the overwhelming Christmas demand(which I think they did on purpose)!

A few posts above you mentioned Bioshock. I agree with you 100%! That game kicks ass! I played it through two times in a row(something I had never done before with a video game) to get both of the endings.

Bioshock 2 looks like it will be a sweet game too!

I haven't played Fallout 3 yet(but I bought the Collector's Edition when it came out. It's a lunch pail! How cool is that?), but I recently played(and completed) Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout: Tactics. I'll give Fallout 3 a shot when I get a computer upgrade(as I don't think my 3800+ Dual Core will cut the mustard).

And don't forget the Vault Boy bobble-head too. They just released Fallout 3 game of the year edition w/ all the expansion dlc included!

Fallout 3 is awesome and i can't wait for the next one to come out. Bioshock just had so much depth (pun not intended) and polish , it was a great experience. From the characters and dialogue to the enviroments and plasmid abilities it was an amazing game. Bioshock 2 comes out in Feb. 2010 and looks to expand the backstory of Rapture.

Hi there.

Got a few pc's.

Played Morrowind, never finished it, going to during the winter.

Played Oblivion, finished it, but the end is anti-climactic...

And used the TES Tool kit to make some great armour and wepons for Morrowind and oblivion.

Played Red Alert(1), LOVED the skirmish mode, usually played against 3 enemys and only lost when 2 or more came for me in the begining otherwise i'd win GUARANTEED, also after a while i made some changes and made Tanya realy dangerous, (2 shots to kill mamoth tank) and self healing + aa rockets, 5 of her and you were UNBEATABLE.

Liked RA2 but not as much, but the end cinematics of the Yuri expansion Lt. Eve looked stupendous (Athena Massey).

Played NWN 1 finished all including both expansions, Made some killer armours and weapons for my chars.

NWN 2, 2 not yet finished, got 3/4 expansions, gonna get the fourth soon.

Diablo 1 was fun but too symplistic.

Diablo 2 was more fun and more interesting, with all the enhancements of patch 1.12 if i remember corectly.

Starcraft & Brood, great too.

One RTS i realy like and still play is Earth 2150 & the 2 stand alone expansions, very nice and complex, but with all the researches and options it takes a long time to complete a skirmish, but the problem is that all AI players are allied against you.

Another not so well known RTS i realy liked was Metal Fatigue, it had 3 factions and you had 3 layers of play, surface, underground and small orbital islands, the thing i liked most was the combots, you had tanks, missile cars and artillery, but the combots were gigantic robots that fought with ranged weapons and/or axes, swords etc, and when you fought HTH you could amputate enemy combot arms with the swords and axes, but not the blunt weapons, and when the combots were destroyed some parts sometimes not destroyed and left on the battlefield, and you coud pick them up research them use them and reproduce them even if they weren't your faction's parts, to build a combot you needed; a pair of legs, a torso, and 2 arms, and 2 factions had jetpack torsos and the other had jet legs that allowed the huge robots to fly, a really cool game.

Another not so well known shooter game i like is Bionicle Heroes (LEGO), the "Bionicle" not heroes game is really lame so do not confuse the two, Bionicle Heroes you start on a small island with a store where you can U/G your 6 heroes, weapons, armour and special abilities and you have 6 areas to clean out with 4 sub-areas with a bosse at the 4th, when all 6 are completed you have the last boss to eliminate, his spider is not too bad but once you killed it he is "freed" and he is very powerful and fast, but it is a very nice game, after you have killed the last boss you get the mask of life and you can and should redo all the previous areas to get all the bonuses.

LOL! Yeah, I forgot about the bobble-head.:D

I really enjoy the Collector's Editions that give you good extras rather than just a cheap little bonus. Besides the Fallout 3 CE, Icewind Dale 2, Baldur's Gate 2, and Pool Of Radiance 2: Ruins Of Myth Drannor had really good Collector's Editions as well. A favourite extra of mine is the Soundtrack CD. I should also mention that I bought the CE version of Bioshock which came with a CD with a couple of Moby remixes on it as well as a huge honkin' Big Daddy figurine! Awesome!

Bioshock had amazing depth. There were times when I was so immersed in the game that I actually felt like I was there. Even though I couldn't play the game with the maximum effects the visuals were astounding! I remember the first time walking through the flooded store and seeing the "wax" figurines. That game has better "fright" moments than a lot of the horror movies that are out any more. And how about that twist, eh Rockabilly? I won't mention it here as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played this game yet.

It also looks like Bioshock 2 will have Multiplayer! I have never played any Multiplayer games before(besides the odd LAN game) but that may change with this game! Will you be trying the Multiplayer aspect of this game(if it ships in a stable/playable mode)?

Fallout 3 is awesome and i can't wait for the next one to come out. Bioshock just had so much depth (pun not intended) and polish , it was a great experience. From the characters and dialogue to the enviroments and plasmid abilities it was an amazing game. Bioshock 2 comes out in Feb. 2010 and looks to expand the backstory of Rapture.
Hi there.

A freind lent me Fallout 1 & 2, boy was i NOT impressed, they were LAME, NWN 1 was way better, so were most games, is Fallout 3 the same thing rehashed like many game sequels are?

Has anyone played Demon Souls yet?

I saw it reviewed on G4 and kind of want to get it since my local Hollywood Video doesn't have it.

I like RPG's, but when they're bad... they're usually really bad. After playing the good ones (Diablo, Oblivion, KNOTR, Baldur's Gate), I usually don't like getting them unless I've played it before. Anyone familiar with Atlus? I don't think I've ever played any games by them.

I don't care about the difficulty as long as the gameplay itself is decent. Any points good or bad would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Cool

Shadows i loved the twist in Bioshock. If you found all the audio diaries and really pay attention to them it kinda foreshadowed everything that happens ... in particular listen to Jasmine Jolie's journal when you find her body.
John Doe if you liked Oblivion then you will love Fallout 3 as they were made by the same team , and Fallout 3 is pretty simply Oblivion w/ guns ... but it's so much more too.
On to Bioshock 2's multiplayer ... it's the reason the game was delayed. I prefer single player mode.

I wonder how many differences(besides the Achievements) there are between the PC version and the console versions. Did you play it on the PC or on a console?

(besides my PC all I own console-wise are a Gamecube and a PS1. I don't even play either of those.)

I'm a console only gamer. Gaming on a pc can get very expensive quickly.

Well, I agree with you somewhat. If you purchase a half-decent rig you will still be able to play the majority of games with all the bells and whistles and the computer game is cheaper to purchase(on average) than the exact same game on a console.

Of course, both consoles and computers always seem to be on a never-ending cycle. You purchase the "new" machine and it rocks! Then in only a few short years you have to fork out more money on a new system because the old one isn't good enough any more. If all console systems were backwards compatible so that all the games from the older systems were playable on the new one(because a classis is a classic after all) then I would be more apt to purchase a console system.

Nothing wrong with consoles, though. I am not one of those computer owners that look down upon console users.:D I just wish that the ports of games originally from consoles wouldn't suck so bad sometimes. I pay hard-earned money just like a console gamer, so why should I get an inferior product?

The 360 is backwards compatible w/ alot of old X-Box games , and the Wii can play your Gamecube games. One of the launch model PS3's was b.c. w/ ps1 and ps2 games ... it had a bigger harddrive and extra usb ports and had silver detailing but Sony removed the chip from all the following PS3 models. I have just always favored consoles as my gaming platform.
