Default 90's Music

There is a thread for the 1980's but the 1990's were special too. Who were your favorite bands? Feel free to share anything! It's all good!

Default Something to get this started...

I tend to listen to "heavier" stuff but don't let that stop you from posting whatever! As I said "It's ALL good!"

Alice in Chains - Man in the Box Live TV 1991 (Censored--otherwise pretty good)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eipuJ...eature=related

Sepultura - Territory Live 1994
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkQ2Dbt0HfQ

Pantera - This Love Live 1994 (sound fades in and out) RIP “Dimebag” 1966-2004
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87uEuhMj92k

Rammstein - Du Hast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doTBT...eature=related

Tool - Sober Live 1993
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw3FT...eature=related

Disturbed - Down with the Sickness (recorded in 1999, it was released in 2000 and to me best represents the “transition” to modern heavy rock and nu-metal--besides it’s a f’ing great song!)

Default Great list!

Barry,

I am familiar with (almost) all of those bands and have CD's by quite a few.

Hope you enjoyed "Territory" live.

The main reason I was into Tool was Danny Carey. Another awesome drummer. Plus Maynard's from Michigan.

As for the present, I listen to a lot of Disturbed now, Godsmack, some Mudvayne, etc. having a harder time finding new bands to listen to these days--not into "emo"--maybe getting too old... Can't imagine my Dad listening to Disturbed at 39! LOL! He thought the "Beatles" were hard rock!

Glad to see Slayer on the list. They got back together--there is a pretty good live version of "Raining Blood" on Youtube from 2007. Will have to post it...

Ever hear of "Nothingface"? Worth checking out ("Violence" from 2000) if you don't already have it.

Later...

i pretty much listen to all of those mentioned still - the majority of those are in my cd case in my car right now. i am with you in that not much has come out in the last years that is able to rival the genre that these fall into. i myself have seen a switch to the hardcore - hatebreed, unearth, all that remains and more recently august burns red. as i said though, im very content revisiting my old gems daily bringing back memories of seeing them live. ive been quite fortunate to check most of them off the list.

between family values tour and ozzfest (both from '98) i was able to see many repeats (tool, limp bizkit, soulfly) but also some newbies (snot, ultraspank) at the time

i figure if it aint broke dont fix it - thats my musical collection. the industry right now is broke - not me
