No, this is not an offer for erotic experiences. I was going to post this in another thread but decided not to hi-jack it. One of our members is not here tonight. He was assaulted. Beaten. Kicked. Punched in the face and eyes. He has three cracked ribs. His hand was broken. Bruises over most of his body. This was done by his cousins, 3 of whom are cops! Reason? He had pictures of trannies on his computer and they found out he loves trannies. |

I hope this member lives in an area where those that assaulted him will be charged. It is not acceptable to assault transwomen or transmen and it is not acceptable to assault anyone because he or she is attracted to transwomen or transmen. For that matter assault on anyone is not acceptable.

Hi there.
Like i often say, ignorance and stupidity are alive and verry well all over the world, and they are cops too, unreal. After things like that, you wonder why cops aren't trusted any more, they aren't suposed to take sides or pass jugement, but hey, why do the right thing when you can do the wrong thing? That seems to be their motto now a days. And the worst part is, beside the fact that it was their cousin, is that they will only get a slap on the wrist for it. Well, it's time to do something about this, write your congerssmen, voice your opinions or forever hold your peace even if you are the one being beaten. JohnDowe. |

I know who you're talking about, my long distance BF. He's okay, or rather as okay he could be in those circumstances, but it still sucks. It just goes to show you how much hate and intollerance is still out there.

I also know who this member is and like i told him in a pm i'm meet there like before, They have a very narrow point of view on how things are and anything not in that narrow view they have the rights to beat the crap out of em after all they don't fit in to the world according to them and it's there duty to protect there narrow world, Gladly he;s doing better but sadly there is no hope for those who did it hopefully they'll meet other narrow minded idiots who feel they don't fit in there narrow view of the world they'll get the crap beat out of them

This kind of thing makes me sick--and very pissed off. I’m sure most of you have read my posts and my profile so you know a little about me by now although I’m still kind of a “newcomer” on this forum. I want to offer my support and prayers. I hope this member will be OK and that the three who did this are prosecuted. Although JohnDowe is probably right--they’ll get a “slap on the wrist.”
Tolerance, love, and respect will one day prevail over fear and ignorance. Until then, we have to do all we can to combat it. Writing to your representative, letters to the editor, news organizations such as CNN, or organized demonstrations are all good ideas. I would like to think that most people are outraged by this type of assault. As for the future, I have great hopes because of what I see in young people such as my students. As for the individuals who participate in these hate crimes… Rest assured, sometimes they pick the wrong person to mess with. It happens… Andrew (my real name) |

I wanted to add that I spent quite a bit of time earlier today reading Bionca’s new blog. I came to this forum originally to explore and learn something about my own sexuality. I have always been pretty confident in myself and sure of who I am and have never had any problems regarding my feelings for transwomen.
However, having never really known or dated a transwoman--I have been most interested in reading other people’s experiences and in particular have read many of Bionca’s posts. Someday I may meet my own special tgirl and I want to be a good partner for her just as I was (or tried to be!) a good husband (well most of the time!) when I was married. This continues to be a real learning experience for me. All of you have in some way or another helped me to understand myself better. You can’t imagine the respect I have for each of you and the courage you have. Andrew Last edited by aw9725; 10-03-2009 at 01:40 AM. |

What would be poetic justice here is for the a$$holes to be charged with wreckless assault and let the punishment fit the crime, bu with one thing added... Let the victim use a cleaver and whack off a few nutsacks!!!!!.. YEAH..I'm PISSED and feel very badly about the victim. I hope he recovers and is able to sue them for an ungodly sum !!!.. But I still like the other "punishment" I stated a lot better!!.. Tell you BF that he is in my thoughts and I am pulling for him for a full recovery and the chance to get back at these low life cops!!!!.....

That's awful and I hope the person(s) involved are punished for it in some way, I'm saddened for the member involved and hope he's doing better now.

I apologize for bumping up an older thread, but I was wondering how he is doing now? I realize I am a newbie and I don't know who the member is like everyone else, but it just pisses me off that something like this still happens(especially from members of his own family!) My father is a retired OPP police officer, and I have other family members that are police officers, and I would hope they would never do anything so heinous as that. Being a police officer means you are supposed to serve and protect everyone regardless of the circumstances. These "officers" should lose their jobs and be held criminally responsible. Will it happen? One can only hope. |
