One of our models got this in a few days ago, our lawyers on onto it so for legal reasons, we're not allowed to publish his real name or phone number but it's scam.
Until this week I'd never heard of this guy and he has NEVER worked for us. Obviously the scam is that he'd be "test" shooting you for free and the real shoot would never arrive - as well as he'd get laid.

Please if you get an email like this, forward it to me - or call him up and give him as much abuse as possible.

""Hello XXXXXXXXX, i just called and left a message but i am following up through email as well. My name is John and i am the head of the NY division of Grooby Productions. Im not sure if you have ever heard of us but we are based in Hawaii and are becoming one of the largest shemale/transgendered video producers. We have already won several awards and most of our stars become very successful if they try hard enough. We are becoming National and we are looking to film a 1 Hour movie in Albany NY called "Surprise Pleasure" and you fit the bill perfect for our second star for the second scene. If you are not satisfied with who we provide as your film partner we always can get someone else but we only work with attractive people. The Scene only pays $8,000 but on top of that we include travel to Albany by train if necessary. The movie will be filmed at a local gentlemens mansion during Saturday July Tenth and we need someone fast as we had a cancellation. It will take place rain or shine and the scene we would like you for takes place in a bedroom 75% and a bathroom 25%. To be eligible to become one of our stars we require a test video session to make sure you are film worthy. These only take an average of a half an hour to tape most angles and we will provide you with a very good looking male model and any compensation if required. This compensation will be deducted from your full pay and you will not recieve a "TIP" as described below. His name is John as well and is very attractive. We would pay for you to travel to Albany and stay overnight or pay for John to travel to you. The "Test" sessions are filmed in HD in a crew free location as if you do decide to take part in the film it usually requires the star to be accustomed to the crew upon start of filming as it may be overwhelming sometimes. That is why a 30 minute scene usually takes 4 hours or more to shoot. We must provide signed documents for yours and our purpose to proove your age and since this is such a short notice you would be required to wear a condom as there is not enough time for testing. Also if you would like to expedite things we can send our male model John with HD equipment, proof of age papers and copies of the script and perform a try out session as soon as Friday. Businesspeople (yes, porn is a big business) tend to take a bit more care in how they present themselves, and there are several clues in this email text about how unserious the business aspect really is. In addition to all the spelling and grammar errors, there is the fact that the sender identifies himself as "the head of the NY division of Grooby Productions," but signs the email from the "Northeast America Division."

Good points SMC but honestly, some of our shooters are pretty poor at spelling also! There are scams everywhere, this cheeky git was out to get laid for free, I think. I've already heard from one other girl who'd been contacted by him but not taken in, I wonder how many have been.

I did not mean to imply that poor spelling was the only clue, or even necessarily a clue absent other indications. I guess the bottom line is that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Or too easy to be true, it probably is. Or too generous to be true, it probably is. And so on ...
